WhatsApp voice messages are very popular, unlike Facebook Messenger, you have no time limit and you can also see when they are heard. You can even change the listening speed. And now you have another great feature: the ability to listen to a voice message before sending it.
They’re not mistakes, they’re rehearsals. Now you can preview your voice messages before you hit send. pic.twitter.com/ohnEVrGTvD— WhatsApp (@WhatsApp) December 14, 2021
To do this, you need to press and hold the microphone icon as usual to record a voice message, then swipe up to enter hands-free mode. When you’re done, hit the middle pause button and click Play to preview your message. When you are satisfied, click the Submit button and close it. It’s very easy to master, it really is.
Surprisingly, the other two messaging apps, Facebook Messenger and Instagram, don’t allow this (at least not yet), but they both allow you to block the microphone so you don’t have to hold it down. They are symbols during recording. As usual with these new features, WhatsApp may take some time to be available on all active Android and iOS devices, but it’s definitely on its way.
